Event Happenings in September

The NUS Students' German Language Society has been involved in two events so far, since the start of the new academic year (2010-2011) this August.

The first, German Day, held on 8 September 2010, was a collaboration with the German Embassy in Singapore, the Goethe-Institut, the DAAD, the German European School, as well as the NUS International Office and Centre for Language Studies. The NUS Students' German Language Society was involved in the NUS Students' German Choir and several of the German games booths and quizzes.

Here are some photographs taken on that day, in case you happened to miss out on the action!

Last Thursday (16 September 2010) was the also the very first Stammtisch of the academic year, organized by our new Project Directors, Royston and Zhang Lu. Hours of preparation resulted in every trace of food being gone within the first half hour!

First Stammtisch of the 2010-2011 academic year held at the NUS Arts canteen (The Deck)

German food prepared by members from the Executive and Sub-Committees. All gone within the first half hour. Success? :)

If you couldn't make it for this Stammtisch, don't worry as there will be another one held next semester. Keep checking this blog for updates!
