In-Fusion 2010 @ Central Forum

Liebe Mietglieder,

NUS' German Language Society invites you to join us at In-Fusion 2010!

What is In-Fusion? In-Fusion is a platform for international and local students to showcase their rich cultural heritage, and foster awareness and integration of the various communities. This year, we will be participating in this campus-wide event, adding more flavor to the international fiesta!

Come visit our booth at Central Forum, from 10am to 4pm, to find out more about German festivals, food, music, language and lifestyle; and get to taste famous German snacks as well! You may also join the array of activities planned by In-Fusion from 1pm!

Here are further details:

What are you waiting for? Experience it now! See you there!

Stammtisch, 28th Jan 2010

Hallo zusammen!

With a 'revamped' corner of the Arts Canteen, really (REALLY) good German food (and surprisingly AUTHENTIC - as commended by our German guests!) and a bunch of awesome people (including our friends from ISEC), we kick-started year 2010 with our very first Stammtisch!

We hope that all who attended enjoyed the food, the people, the food, the decorations and not to forget the FOOD, and had as much fun as we did!!

Thumbs up to the organizing committee for taking the Stammtisch one level higher! A job well done, people!! =)

As always, here are a few photos of the fun-filled exciting event! Enjoy!

The Food =).

Do check out DDS' Facebook group for more photos! (and feel free to tag yourself, you might just be in them!)

We hope to see you all at our next event!

Really. Do come. You'll have fun.

Die deutsche Sphäre invites you to... Stammtisch!

Liebe Mitglieder,

Are you feeling stressed in school? Do you wish to have more opportunities to learn about German language and culture? Do you wish to meet people to practice German with? If you do, come join us!

The German Society will be kick-starting our first event of the semester with Stammtisch! Join us on Thursday at The Deck to be greeted by an Arts Canteen that does not look like any other school day. Get to taste simple German fare (such as German sausages, potato salad, etc.), meet with lots of friendly people, practise German and share experiences with one another!

We will be selling tickets for the Stammtisch on Monday and Tuesday, 12 – 6pm, at the table outside the Central Library. You can also email us for the tickets and pick them up on Monday or Tuesday. Prices are charged at $2 for members and $4 for non-members. Be sure to get your tickets soon!

Christina Stürmer - Mehr Als Perfekt

Hey people!

Here's a new song for you guys by Christina Stürmer, "Mehr Als Perfekt". I couldn't get the Official Music Video onto the blog, but if you wanna see it, just YouTube it!

Hope you guys like it!

Wir waren lange auf der Suche
haben nach den Sternen navigiert.
Wir sind vom Weg abgekommen
und haben uns in der Ferne verirrt.
Wir hatten fast schon aufgegeben
doch jetzt sind wir endlich hier.
Und eine Stimme in mir drin
sagt es ist gut so wie es wird!

Es ist mehr als Perfekt
besser als Richtig.
In diesem Moment
steht die Zeit einfach still.

weil man nichts davon vergisst.
Und eine Stimme in dir sagt:
Es ist gut so wie es ist!

Es ist mehr als Perfekt
besser als Richtig.
In diesem Moment
steht die Zeit einfach still.
Und sie wird nur flüchtig wenn man ihr hinterher rennt.
Welten gehen unter
und werden neu geboren.
Doch wir gehen hier nicht weg.

Und es ist mehr als Perfekt

In diesem Moment
steht die Zeit still!

Es ist mehr als Perfekt
besser als Richtig.
In diesem Moment
steht die Zeit einfach still.
Sie wird nur flüchtig wenn man ihr hinterher rennt.
Welten gehen unter
und werden neu geboren.
Doch wir gehen hier nicht weg.
Zwischen all den Waren
finden wir den Sinn.
Still und unentdeckt!

Und es ist mehr als Perfekt.
